10th December

We have now stopped taking orders for Christmas delivery!  All orders received so far will be sent out on Tuesday.

9th December

One of my ladies has kindly agreed to help me over the weekend so we are still taking orders!  Orders placed today will be sent out next Tuesday 13th which should allow plenty of time for delivery.

8th December 9 a.m.

We had a very productive day yesterday, and managed to get ahead, so we can still accept 6 orders for hot water bottles, but I am sorry that we have now sold out of stockings.

7th December

Very busy day yesterday!  We can now only accept orders for another 20 items, so we are counting down!

6th December 2011

The order book is nearly full, so if you are thinking of placing an order, please do so now!  Last year so many people were too late (but I know a lot of them have been back to us and ordered early this year - big thank you to them).

28th November 2011

People are asking when we will stop taking Christmas orders.  The answer is that we send the last items out on 14th December, and when we have as much work as we can complete by then, we will stop taking orders.  Last year this was 6th December, but it just depends on how many orders come in, it could be any time after 1st December!

8th November 2011

Already lots of orders for Christmas!  Last year was totally manic, not helped by the weather.  We had intended to stop making stockings this year and concentrate on the hot water bottles, but so many people have contacted us asking for stockings to match those bought in earlier years, that we have had to put them back on.  Unbelievably we found another roll of the original cream fabric in a warehouse, so we will be doing some of these but this is strictly limited edition, and when they have gone there will be no more.

Monday 6th December

Today is probably the last day we will be taking orders for Christmas.  We are down to the last couple of Christmas Stockings and about a dozen hot water bottles.  Orders placed today should go out on 14th December, which is our last day for posting out.

2nd December

Red Christmas stockings are now very low stock, we are literally counting down as the orders come in.  We managed to get to the Post Office today, but apparently there are no collections, so it may be a couple of days before the parcels get away from the Post office.

1st December

We are under 3 feet of snow!  Luckily we can keep working but we can't get to the Post Office to send the stock out today.  Christmas stockings are now very low stock, blue and pink are both sold out and the red are going down fast.  Unsurprisingly we are selling a lot of hot water bottles, so please get any orders in as soon as possible!

There seem to be so many things people keep ringing to ask, I thought a blog might be the best way to let people know what is going on with us.

When is the last date for Christmas orders?  We are doing things a little differently this year.  We have bought in stock and cut out 10% more stockings and hotties than we sold last year, and when they are all gone we will put up the 'Sold Out' signs, so this could be anytime!  If you are wanting to order something please do so as quickly as possible and don't ring up shouting at us if you  have left it too late.

Why have we stopped doing towels? Sadly we ran out of space!  The towels were very bulky and storing even enough stock for only a couple of weeks took up a great deal of room.  By stopping doing them we have been able to install an extra sewing machine which has meant we can increase  production on cushions.  I am recommending http://www.flyingpigpresents.com  I met Julie when I was on holiday in Shrewsbury earlier this year and I was very impressed with her work and the quality of the towels she uses is very similar to those we used, so I do hope all my regular customers will support her.

Why did we stop the cream personalised stockings?  Unfortunately our manufacturers stopped making the cream brocade  fabric 3 years ago. We could not find any material that was similar.  We bought up all the remaining stock, but now sadly it has all gone.
