Wednesday 15th December 4 p.m
We have finished the Christmas orders! The last of them went out this afternoon by first class post, recorded delivery, so should be with people in the next couple of days. If you are still waiting for something and it hasn't arrived by Saturday, please get in touch and and we will run a track and trace. We still have a few cushions for January to do and these will be sent out in the next couple of days, but apart from that it is time for a little rest! This has been our busiest Christmas ever, thank you for all your orders and lovely emails. Merry Christmas.
Monday 7th December 8 a.m.
Sorry but as they say in the cartoons "That's all folks!" we cannot accept any more orders for Christmas delivery. Orders for cushions placed now will be sent out during the first week in January. I am sorry we have had to take out some of the Buy Now buttons but in previous years people kept ordering, then ringing us up shouting when their stuff didn't reach them in time for Christmas. The buttons will be put back on about the 23rd December. Please don't ring us asking to place orders for Christmas, we really have reached our capacity, as the last orders have to go out on the 15th, we can't trust the post after that.
Saturday 5th December 5.15 p.m
Another really good day for production! Orders placed now will go out on 15th December, which is our last day in the workroom. So this means we can only take a few more orders and we will be monitoring the inbox tomorrow. As soon as we reach our capacity we will close the site for Christmas orders.
Time to go home for a glass of wine!
Thursday 3rd December 7.30 a.m.
Everywhere I look there are Christmas stockings! We had a really good production day yesterday and worked late to clear the backlog. We are going to work through the weekend and estimate that orders placed today will be sent out on Saturday 12th December. Production will close down on Tuesday 15th. This means that when we have taken orders for what we consider to be 3 days more work we will stop taking orders for Christmas, so if you are thinking of placing an order, please do so now! We had lots of phone calls yesterday from people wanting to know if they could get items sooner, but we can't do this as it isn't fair to the people who are already waiting.
So now the kettle has boiled for my cup of tea, I had better get on with work!

There seem to be so many things people keep ringing to ask, I thought a blog might be the best way to let people know what is going on with us.
When is the last date for Christmas orders? It could be any time! In the past we have given a specific cut off date for Christmas orders, but then had to close the order book early due to the volume of orders already received. Understandably this makes people very angry! So while we hope to continue taking orders until early December, please do not depend on it and get your order in as early as possible.
Why have we stopped doing towels? Sadly we ran out of space! The towels were very bulky and storing even enough stock for only a couple of weeks took up a great deal of room. By stopping doing them we have been able to install an extra sewing machine which has meant we can increase production on cushions. I am recommending http://www.flyingpigpresents.com I met Julie when I was on holiday in Shrewsbury earlier this year and I was very impressed with her work and the quality of the towels she uses is very similar to those we used, so I do hope all my regular customers will support her.
Why did we stop the cream personalised stockings? Unfortunately our manufacturers stopped making the cream brocade fabric 3 years ago. We could not find any material that was similar. We bought up all the remaining stock, but now sadly it has (almost) all gone. We have kept a little back for people who need another stocking for a new addition to the family but we are down to the last couple now. Ring us if you need to order one. (Update 15.11.2009) All the cream stockings have now gone.
Royal Mail Strike. Things actually don't seem too bad at the moment. I know certain parts of London having quite a lot of difficulties but orders do seem to be getting through, but please don't leave ring cushions too late - 28 days is recommended at the moment.
